Innoviz Technologies has launched a dedicated defense brand, Perciz, securing its first multimillion-dollar contract as the company looks to diversify beyond its core automotive business. The company’s shift into the defense sector includes six new collaborations with partners such as Regulus, Cogniteam, and AeroNous, focusing on counter-UAS and perimeter security. CEO Omer Keilaf stated that the firm is leveraging its existing automotive-grade LiDAR sensors to meet urgent government demand for spatial awareness technology. On July 30, Innoviz received initial orders totaling $3.5 million from a defense customer, marking a significant entry point into the sector.

While expanding its reach, Innoviz maintains its existing automotive partnerships, including ongoing programs with VW, Mobileye, and Daimler Truck. The company is currently developing a LiDAR-based perception stack in collaboration with a top 10 global OEM. To bolster this strategic transition, the board has appointed Maj. Gen. (Ret.) Yoav Har-Even, the former leader of Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, to help navigate the complexities of international security markets. Innoviz reiterated its full-year 2026 revenue guidance of $67–$73 million, balancing automotive development with its new defense-focused product line.
