Metsä Group Taps Infosys for AI-Driven IT Overhaul
Forestry giant Metsä Group has expanded its partnership with Infosys to overhaul its global IT infrastructure. Under a multi-year agreement, the Finnish company will integrate the Infosys Topaz Fabric platform to automate operations, streamline service management, and shift toward an agentic, AI-first operating model across its mills and offices.

Kristiina Lammila, Chief Information Officer at Metsä Group, described the initiative as a new chapter in the company’s digital evolution, designed to meet modern efficiency demands. Ruchir Budhwar, EVP of Manufacturing at Infosys, noted that the project leverages deep sector-specific expertise to help the forestry firm scale innovation. The transition signifies a tightening of the bond between the two organizations, with Infosys cementing its presence in the Finnish market as a primary technology partner.
