Shen brings a decade of financial leadership to the Beijing-based company, most recently serving as CFO at Gaotu Techedu Inc. from 2018 until May 2026. Her career includes a tenure as an investment manager at Dalian Port & Shipping Industry Fund and five years at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where she worked in both China and the United States. She holds a CPA certification in China and an EMBA from Tsinghua University.
So-Young Appoints Former Gaotu CFO Nan Shen to Executive Leadership
Nan Shen, an independent director at So-Young International since 2023, has transitioned into the role of Chief Financial Officer, effective August 3. Her appointment marks a shift in the aesthetic treatment platform's internal governance as she assumes oversight of the company's finance, human resources, legal, and compliance functions.
Co-founder and CEO Xing Jin noted that Shen’s familiarity with the company’s strategic priorities will support So-Young’s dual-engine growth model. While stepping down from the board’s audit, compensation, and nominating committees, Shen will retain her seat as a director. The company aims to leverage her operational expertise to improve efficiency across its network of aesthetic treatment services.
