Ochsner Health Retains Top Louisiana Hospital Ranking
For the 15th consecutive year, Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans has secured the top spot in Louisiana and the New Orleans metro area according to the latest U.S. News & World Report rankings. The distinction highlights the hospital’s sustained performance across a broad spectrum of critical medical specialties and procedures.

Ochsner Health President and CEO Pete November attributed the consistent recognition to the collective expertise of the system's physicians and staff. The U.S. News evaluation, which analyzed nearly 4,500 hospitals based on risk-adjusted mortality rates and patient outcomes, also extended 'High Performing' status to several other Ochsner facilities. Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center, Slidell Memorial Hospital, Ochsner LSU Health, and the Baton Rouge campus each received recognition for excellence in specific procedures, ranging from heart surgery to cancer care. These ratings serve as a clinical benchmark for patients navigating complex medical decisions.
