Bookmark Medical Enters Michigan Market with Village Medical Acquisition
Nashville-based Bookmark Medical has expanded its national footprint into Michigan, finalizing the acquisition of Village Medical Michigan. The deal integrates seven primary care practices, a diagnostic center, and the Huron Valley Practice Affiliates into its network, immediately extending its provider-led care model to over 40,000 additional patients.
Bookmark Medical CEO Benson Sloan stated that the primary objective is maintaining continuity for patients, who will retain their current providers, office locations, and contact information during the transition. While the practices will eventually undergo a rebranding to the Bookmark Medical name, company leadership emphasized that the core focus remains on preserving existing doctor-patient relationships. David Hatfield, the organization's Chief Physician Executive, noted that the integration of the Huron Valley group provides a solid foundation for further community-based healthcare investments in the region.
