The expansion covers a specific suite of workplace offerings, including whole life, accident, critical illness, and group voluntary term life products. By integrating disparate administrative tasks into one system, the platform aims to replace manual workflows with automated processes, such as no-fee electronic funds transfers and real-time commission tracking for brokers. While the system is now available for new business, the company clarified that existing policies will remain on legacy systems for the time being.
Boston Mutual Life Scales Digital Enrollment Platform Across 49 States
Boston Mutual Life Insurance Company has extended its cloud-based administration platform, BML Connect, to reach 49 states. The rollout marks a significant shift for the Canton-based insurer, allowing brokers, employers, and policyholders to handle enrollment, billing, and case management through a centralized, self-service digital interface.

Developed in partnership with Majesco, the platform represents a multi-year effort to modernize the insurer’s technological infrastructure. Grant Ward, CEO of Boston Mutual Life, stated that the initiative balances digital capabilities with the company’s traditional support models. Majesco CEO Adam Elster noted that the platform focuses on streamlining the user experience, a move the insurer intends to build upon as it adds more features and product lines in the coming years.
