McKillican brings a background in e-commerce and health technology to the telecommunications giant. Her previous roles include leading Well.ca and serving on the board of the National Bank of Canada, where she chaired the technology committee. BCE Chair Louis Vachon noted that her expertise in digital growth is expected to provide significant value to shareholders as the company navigates ongoing technological transitions.

Katherine Lee, a long-standing director who joined in 2015, stepped down as part of the board's standard rotation policy. BCE maintains a 12-year term limit for its directors to ensure fresh perspectives within its governance structure. Mirko Bibic, President and CEO of BCE, credited Lee’s counsel for helping guide the company through a decade of industry evolution while welcoming McKillican's potential to drive operational excellence at Bell.
