To mark the 250th anniversary of the United States, Salt Lake City-based PMI Foods has delivered 1,738 fully cooked frozen protein items to the Utah Food Bank. The contribution addresses a critical supply gap for premium products like brisket, steak, and garlic beef for families struggling with food insecurity across the state.
Ginette Bott, President and CEO of the Utah Food Bank, identified high-quality protein as one of the most difficult resources to secure for their operations. Last fiscal year, the organization distributed nearly 70 million pounds of food, underscoring the scale of demand that this partnership aims to mitigate. The donation serves as a targeted effort to bolster the nutritional quality of meals provided to thousands of residents served by the statewide network.
