Empo Health Secures Clinical Validation and Podiatric Seal
A feasibility study published in JMIR Formative Research confirms that patients with a history of diabetic foot ulcers can effectively use Empo Health’s at-home monitoring technology. The San Bruno-based company simultaneously earned the American Podiatric Medical Association Seal of Approval and completed a rigorous SOC 2 Type 2 security audit.
Beyond clinical validation, the company received the APMA Seal of Approval for its Footprint device and Remote Health Link. This recognition from the American Podiatric Medical Association, which represents over 15,000 practitioners, serves as an independent endorsement of the product's quality. To address enterprise-level data concerns, Empo also finalized a SOC 2 Type 2 audit. According to co-founder and Chief Product Officer Eric Dahlseng, this verification of security controls is intended to remove adoption barriers for health systems that prioritize patient data protection.
