Wilkie’s transition follows a seven-year tenure at Compass Group Canada, where she oversaw 100 project implementations across 600 kitchens. Her familiarity with the firm is long-standing; during her time at Compass, she managed partnerships with over 50 organizations, including Appetronix. This history allowed her to observe the company’s evolution firsthand, a factor she cites as a primary motivator for joining the executive team.
Appetronix Taps Former Compass Group Executive Heather Wilkie as CFO
Heather Wilkie, a veteran of Compass Group Canada and Deloitte, has joined autonomous restaurant startup Appetronix as Chief Financial Officer. Her appointment arrives as the Columbus-based company prepares for a Series A funding round to accelerate the international deployment of its robotic, employee-free kitchen systems.

CEO Nipun Sharma highlighted Wilkie’s dual expertise in financial modeling and large-scale foodservice operations as the catalyst for her hire. As the company moves beyond its initial pilot—a robotic Donatos Pizza unit launched in June 2025 at Columbus International Airport alongside HMSHost—Wilkie is tasked with building the financial infrastructure required for rapid North American and international scaling. Her previous experience as the finance lead for Deloitte’s Canadian Consulting practice will also inform the firm’s strategic planning during this growth phase.
