Meta Platforms reported $60.8 billion in revenue for the second quarter of 2026, marking a 28% year-over-year increase. Despite this growth, net income fell 14% to $15.8 billion as the company grapples with a 55% surge in costs driven by legal charges, severance payouts, and massive capital expenditures.

Capital intensity is reaching new heights, with expenditures hitting $31.08 billion for the quarter. Looking ahead, the company has tightened its full-year capital expenditure forecast to a range of $130–$145 billion. CFO commentary also warned of potential future losses stemming from ongoing youth-related litigation in the United States, signaling that regulatory scrutiny remains a persistent risk to the firm's financial health.
