ENGWE Targets Daily Commuters With Long-Range L16 E-Bike

With a starting price of $849, the newly released ENGWE L16 aims to replace car trips for errands and short commutes. Marketed as the longest-range 16-inch e-bike available, the model offers a dual-battery configuration capable of reaching up to 150 miles on a single charge, signaling the brand's aggressive U.S. expansion.

The L16 joins a growing lineup of compact electric bikes designed to bridge the gap between heavy-duty cycling and urban convenience. Powered by a 750W motor with a 1,500W peak output and 75Nm of torque, the bike is engineered to handle 30-degree inclines and routine cargo transport. Its design centers on an ultra-low step-through frame, paired with front suspension and 16-inch tires to navigate city streets.

Beyond raw performance, the manufacturer focused on utility for daily errands by including hydraulic disc brakes and integrated support for rear racks, front baskets, and child seats. The base single-battery model is currently available for $849, while the dual-battery version sits at $1,199. ENGWE is currently offering promotional discounts and complimentary accessories to capture market share as it continues its return to American roads.
