Genesis Expands Youth Education Support Across D.C. Metropolitan Area

A series of targeted investments from Genesis and the Genesis Inspiration Foundation is bolstering youth development in the Washington, D.C. region, with $75,000 in new grants aimed at arts education and hands-on STEAM training for students in underserved communities.

The initiative blends corporate social responsibility with community-based learning. At the YMCA Alexandria, Genesis partnered with the Child Creativity Lab to host a STEAM workshop for more than 40 elementary students. Participants explored electric vehicle technology and designed future mobility concepts using upcycled materials. Beyond engineering, the program extended to the Washington Tennis & Education Foundation, which integrates tennis instruction with academic support and life-skills development for local youth.

Financial support from the Genesis Inspiration Foundation focuses on the arts as a core pillar of development. The $75,000 in cumulative grants will be divided among three primary beneficiaries: the Children's Chorus of Washington, the Alexandria Symphony Orchestra, and Del Ray Artisans. Each organization aims to increase accessibility for children and teens to engage in music and creative learning. According to Brandon Ramirez, director of corporate social responsibility at Genesis Motor America, these programs are designed to foster long-term confidence and creativity in students by providing resources that might otherwise remain out of reach.
