The SIDES platform serves as the digital backbone for unemployment insurance, facilitating the exchange of sensitive information between state agencies, employers, and third-party administrators. By digitizing these interactions, the system aims to curb improper payments and increase the speed of claims processing. Geographic Solutions began preparing for the technical migration in November 2025, coordinating closely with the National Association of State Workforce Agencies to ensure the new modules met performance standards.
Geographic Solutions Leads Nationwide Upgrade of Unemployment Systems
Four states have become the first in the country to transition to the modernized State Information Data Exchange System, a critical web-based platform for processing unemployment insurance claims. Geographic Solutions completed the rollout on July 16, marking the first successful production deployment of the latest NASWA-led infrastructure update.

Paul Toomey, founder of the Palm Harbor-based firm, noted that the transition occurred without service disruptions. This update allows participating agencies to leverage enhanced security and efficiency tools immediately. With more than 40 states currently utilizing its software, Geographic Solutions remains the primary vendor tasked with integrating these national-level workforce technology standards.
