AEMtec, currently a portfolio company of Capiton, has established itself as a single-source partner for complex microelectronic modules. Its management team, led by CEO Robert Giertz, will transition to Micross as part of the deal.

Micross Components has reached a definitive agreement to acquire Berlin-based AEMtec, a move that secures the U.S. firm a significant manufacturing foothold in Europe. The acquisition integrates AEMtec’s specialized optoelectronics and advanced packaging services into Micross’ portfolio, aiming to serve mission-critical sectors including aerospace, defense, and medical technology.
For Micross, this represents the eleventh acquisition under Behrman Capital’s ownership. The strategic alignment focuses on deepening capabilities in photonics and high-reliability packaging to support the European defense industrial base and broader industrial automation markets. While financial terms remain undisclosed, the deal is expected to close in the second half of 2026, pending regulatory approvals. This expansion positions Micross closer to its European client base, transitioning from a U.S.-centric operation to a more global provider of high-performance microelectronic solutions.
