The capital injection allows Excedr to bolster its existing portfolio and deepen ties with original equipment manufacturers, including Danaher, Sartorius, and Bio-Rad. By providing operating leases for mission-critical instrumentation, the company enables biotech firms and research organizations to bypass heavy upfront costs, preserving their runway for R&D. The credit facility from BOK Financial, which includes both a revolving line of credit and a term loan, is specifically structured to support this operational scaling.
Excedr Secures $25 Million to Expand Lab Equipment Leasing
San Francisco-based Excedr has secured $25 million in growth capital to scale its laboratory equipment leasing platform for the life sciences sector. The financing package, comprised of a $17 million senior credit facility from BOK Financial and $8 million in new equity, aims to satisfy rising demand for non-dilutive capital.

Jon Chee, co-founder and CEO, stated that the funding marks a significant milestone in allowing more scientists access to high-end technology without tying up working capital. As the life sciences industry faces an inflection point where R&D budgets are increasingly scrutinized, the demand for flexible, non-dilutive financing has grown. With this fresh infusion, Excedr plans to accelerate its platform development and extend its reach across therapeutics, diagnostics, and contract research organizations.
