Carpentersville Unveils $13.2 Million Woodlands Teen Impact Center
On September 10, the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northwest Suburbs will open its new 40,000-square-foot facility at 770 Navajo Drive. The $13.2 million Woodlands Teen Impact Center aims to serve 550 middle and high school students, offering specialized training in skilled trades, robotics, and professional culinary arts.
Mentorship serves as the foundation of the operation, with dedicated staff guiding students through career pathways and local employment opportunities. The curriculum includes hands-on technical training, such as OSHA-certified skilled trades programs and engineering courses, alongside social programs like the Belong initiative. This investment follows a productive 2025 for the organization, during which it provided over 118,000 meals and maintained a 96% high school graduation rate among its members. The grand opening ceremony will feature local officials and community leaders marking the transition of the site into a permanent hub for workforce development in Carpentersville and Barrington.
