USPS Board of Governors Schedules August Open Session

The U.S. Postal Service Board of Governors convenes for an open session on Friday, August 7, at 3 p.m. ET. The meeting will take place in the Benjamin Franklin Room at the agency’s Washington, D.C. headquarters, located at 475 L'Enfant Plaza SW, with public attendance invited.

The session agenda includes remarks from the chairwoman and Postmaster General, alongside standard committee updates and the approval of minutes from previous proceedings. Crucially, the board will review the latest quarterly financial and service performance reports, providing a window into the organization's ongoing network modernization efforts. Attendees can also expect a formal vote on the tentative agenda for the board's upcoming November meeting.

For those unable to attend in person, the Postal Service will provide a live audio webcast of the session. The broadcast will be open-captioned in compliance with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, and a recorded version will be available on the USPS website three hours after the meeting concludes. This gathering occurs as the independent federal establishment marks its 250th year of operation, continuing its mandate to provide self-financed delivery services to over 170 million addresses nationwide.
