The integration arrives as YouTube Premium maintains a subscriber base of 125 million, compared to Peacock’s 48 million US users. By bundling the ad-supported tier of Peacock into the existing $15.99 monthly cost of YouTube Premium, the partnership provides a significant discount over the combined individual subscription price of $26.98. NBCUniversal chairman Matt Strauss frames the deal as a catalyst for the platform's next growth phase following its recent separation from Comcast’s broadband operations.
YouTube Premium adds Peacock to its subscription bundle
Starting next year, YouTube Premium subscribers will gain access to Peacock’s library of movies, shows, and live sports directly through the YouTube platform. This multi-year agreement between NBCUniversal and YouTube aims to consolidate streaming options while offering a financial incentive for users currently juggling separate monthly bills for both services.

Beyond the standard content library, the agreement includes a selection of live sporting events and extends the existing distribution contract for YouTube TV. This move follows a milestone quarter for Peacock, which recently achieved profitability for the first time. For YouTube, the addition serves to further justify the price increase implemented earlier this year, reinforcing the value proposition of its premium tier in an increasingly crowded streaming market.
