USF Football Debuts First Jersey Patch Partnership in Florida

A Tampa General Hospital Aeromed helicopter touched down on a Davis Islands helipad to serve as the backdrop for a milestone in collegiate athletics. USF football players stood alongside the hospital’s clinical team to reveal the first jersey patch sponsorship in Florida’s history, cementing a long-standing medical partnership.

The new uniforms represent the evolution of a multi-year agreement established in April, positioning Tampa General as the exclusive hospital-based health care provider for USF Athletics. By integrating a commercial health care logo directly onto the Bulls’ jerseys, the program joins a small cohort of collegiate teams nationwide to adopt such branding.

Fans will see the redesigned gear in action on September 5, when the Bulls open their 2026 season against Florida International University at Raymond James Stadium. The partnership draws on over 25 years of collaboration between the medical center and the university, highlighting the role of Tampa General as the primary teaching hospital for the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine.
