Needham, Massachusetts-based NB Bancorp reported net income of $21.1 million for the second quarter of 2026, a significant jump from the $15.0 million recorded in the first quarter. The holding company saw its net interest margin climb to 4.00% as both loan and deposit volumes maintained steady growth.

Asset quality metrics showed clear improvement over the previous quarter. Net charge-offs as a percentage of average loans fell sharply to 0.07% from 0.91%, while non-performing loans dropped to 0.43% of the total portfolio. Reflecting this stability, the board declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.07 per share, payable on August 19, 2026, to shareholders of record as of August 5.
