The latest prototypes from Gentle Monster and Warby Parker favor a boxy, thick-rimmed silhouette that mimics standard fashion frames. While Samsung restricted hands-on time during the reveal, the hardware remains remarkably light, housing microphones and speakers discreetly within the stems. Each pair features a front-mounted camera equipped with a recording indicator light, alongside a physical power switch and a single control button.
Samsung and Google Prepare Smart Glasses for Autumn Launch
Samsung has pulled back the curtain on its upcoming smart glasses, showcasing two new frame designs alongside a projected nine-hour battery life. Developed in partnership with Google, Warby Parker, and Gentle Monster, the wearable tech aims to blend digital functionality with the aesthetic of conventional everyday eyewear.

Jaein Choi, executive vice president of Samsung’s mobile experience division, confirmed that additional styles are currently in development. By mimicking the form factor popularized by Meta’s partnerships with Ray-Ban and Oakley, the companies intend to normalize the appearance of face-worn computers. The devices are scheduled for a commercial release this fall, marking a significant step in the collaboration between the tech giants and established eyewear brands.
