For nearly three decades, the GRRC has served as the UK’s premier automotive community. By launching the Goodwood Road Racing Club of America, the organization intends to replicate this model for a new audience. The venture prioritizes hands-on participation, offering members access to track days, driving tours, and curated social gatherings across California and Nevada. Unlike traditional clubs restricted by specific marques, this initiative focuses on the personal connection between drivers and their vehicles.
Goodwood Expands Iconic Racing Club to American Soil
California will host the first international chapter of the Goodwood Road Racing Club beginning in 2027, marking a permanent shift for the British institution. The expansion aims to transplant its signature motorsport culture into the United States, with a inaugural event already scheduled at Willow Springs for 2028.

Three titans of global motorsport—Sir Jackie Stewart, Mario Andretti, and Richard Petty—have signed on as founding patrons to guide the club’s development. The Duke of Richmond emphasized that the move is timed to coincide with the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, a nod to the deep historical ties between Goodwood and the United States. Prospective members can currently join the waitlist via the official portal to secure Founding Member status as the organization prepares for its 2027 rollout.
