Samsung Unveils Galaxy Z Fold 8, Fold 8 Ultra, and Flip 8

Samsung’s latest foldable lineup, introduced at the July 2026 Unpacked event, arrives in stores on August 7th with a three-tier strategy. While the Galaxy Z Flip 8 remains the entry-level choice, the new Z Fold 8 and its high-end Ultra sibling serve as the primary focus for the company's US market ambitions.

The standard Galaxy Z Fold 8, priced at $1,899.99, introduces a more compact form factor compared to its predecessors, featuring a 7.6-inch main screen and a 5.5-inch cover display. Despite its smaller footprint, it maintains robust performance specs, including a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 4,800mAh battery. Samsung offers it with 12GB of RAM for the 256GB and 512GB storage tiers, while the 1TB configuration pushes memory to 16GB.

Positioned as the direct successor to the previous generation, the $2,099.99 Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra retains the familiar 8.0-inch internal display and 6.5-inch cover screen. It distinguishes itself through a high-resolution 200-megapixel main sensor and a 3X telephoto optical zoom lens. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip 8 starts at $1,199.99, focusing on internal hardware refinement. While it retains the camera and battery specs of the Flip 7, it swaps the Exynos 2500 chip for the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, a transition intended to boost processing capability across the board.
