Blackbaud is overhauling its operating system for social impact by embedding autonomous AI directly into its existing software suite. CEO Mike Gianoni stated that the company has rebuilt its core products to allow these agents to learn from interactions over time, aiming to provide organizations with greater capacity without requiring additional headcount. The expansion follows the positive performance of the company's inaugural Development Agent, which has helped users engage dormant donors through personalized, multi-touch sequences.
The new additions, scheduled for release over the coming month, target specific operational bottlenecks. The Data Health Agent will manage record hygiene, while the Admissions Agent aims to help K–12 schools provide high-touch experiences for families. Marketing and financial teams will also gain dedicated support through the Digital Marketing Agent and the Accounts Payable Agent, the latter of which automates policy-based processing within Financial Edge NXT. By embedding these tools directly into the platform, Blackbaud intends to reduce the security risks and data fragmentation often associated with third-party software add-ons.
