Sigma360 Secures ISO/IEC 27001 Certification for Risk Platform

Sigma360, the New York-based provider of AI-driven financial crime prevention software, has secured ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification. The achievement marks a transition from internal security protocols to formal, independent verification of the company’s information management systems, confirming that its protective measures meet rigorous international standards for data safety.

The certification process involved an exhaustive independent audit and a formal review by a Certification Committee. For Sigma360, which counts banks, fintechs, and global corporations among its clients, this validation serves as a critical proof point for the security of its infrastructure. The platform relies on a security-by-design architecture, utilizing segregated processing environments and strict access controls to manage sensitive risk intelligence data.

Stuart Jones Jr., founder and CEO of Sigma360, noted that the certification reinforces the disciplined practices required to handle high-stakes compliance decisions. Beyond the technical audit, the company emphasizes that its data protection measures include a strict policy against using client information for AI model training. Chief Information Security Officer Jeff Williams described the audit result—which recorded zero non-conformities—as a reflection of the company's internal culture regarding data stewardship rather than a standalone achievement. Moving forward, the firm intends to maintain these standards through ongoing monitoring and periodic surveillance audits to ensure its risk intelligence systems remain resilient against evolving threats.
