AeroVironment Investors Face Monday Deadline in Securities Lawsuit

Investors who purchased AeroVironment, Inc. stock between June 25, 2025, and March 10, 2026, have until July 27, 2026, to file as lead plaintiffs in a class action lawsuit. The litigation, filed in the Eastern District of Virginia, centers on claims that the company misled shareholders regarding its U.S. Space Force contracts.

The lawsuit, Norrell v. AeroVironment, Inc., alleges that the company failed to disclose the imminent threat of competition for its work on the Satellite Communication Augmentation Resource (SCAR) program following the acquisition of BlueHalo, LLC. Plaintiffs contend this lack of transparency led to an overstatement of the firm's financial prospects.

Market confidence in the company eroded significantly across three major events in early 2026. On January 20, AeroVironment disclosed a stop work order on its BADGER systems, causing a 16% stock decline. Further volatility followed in March when SpaceNews reported the U.S. Space Force was reopening the SCAR program for new acquisition strategies, driving shares down another 17%. The final blow came on March 10, when the company reported a $179 million operating loss and the total termination of the SCAR contract, triggering a further 6% drop. Investors seeking to participate in the litigation may contact Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd LLP to represent the class.
