Women in HVACR Opens Nominations for 2026 Leadership Awards

The nonprofit, which supports women across heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration trades, is accepting submissions through August 10. To be eligible for consideration, candidates must maintain active membership within the 1,200-member organization. WHVACR President Jane Sidebottom emphasized that these accolades are designed to spotlight the leadership and innovation currently strengthening the sector while providing a blueprint for the next generation.

The Pillar Awards will select three individuals for excellence in mentorship, education, and professional networking. Simultaneously, the Women to Watch program seeks to honor leaders across five key operational areas: technician, manufacturing, vendor and distribution, office operations, and advocacy. Sidebottom noted that the recognition process serves as a vital tool for building professional confidence and fostering new collaborative opportunities within the workforce.
