Envision Energy to Supply Record-Breaking Turbines for Narrogin Farm

Standing 155 meters tall with a 182-meter rotor diameter, 23 Envision EN182-7.8 MW turbines are set to become the largest wind generators ever installed in Australia. Neoen has officially issued the notice to proceed for the 179MW Narrogin project, marking a major expansion for Envision in the Western Australian market.

Envision Energy to Supply Record-Breaking Turbines for Narrogin Farm

The Narrogin Wind Farm will play a critical role in the region's energy infrastructure, contributing roughly 3% of the annual demand for the South West Interconnected System. Once operational, the facility is expected to power approximately 100,000 homes. This development follows Envision’s recent entry into the Pilbara region and represents the company’s first grid-connected wind farm for a client in the country, linking directly to Western Power’s 220kV transmission line.

Envision is managing the supply, delivery, and installation of the turbines in collaboration with UGL and CPB Contractors, both members of the CIMIC Group. To ensure long-term reliability, the firm has finalized a 30-year operations and maintenance agreement with Neoen. According to Kane Xu, Senior Vice President at Envision, the project utilizes the company's Future Energy System, which integrates AI-enabled management and smart wind technology. Neoen’s regional leadership emphasized that the project includes ongoing cooperation with local stakeholders, including the Gnaala Karla Booja Aboriginal Corporation, to secure a cleaner energy future for the west coast.
