Meshy Secures $400 Million to Scale AI-Powered 3D Generation

A $1.5 billion valuation has propelled Meshy to the forefront of generative AI, marking the largest funding round to date for a firm specializing in 3D modeling. The Silicon Valley-based startup reports rapid commercial adoption, with its annual recurring revenue expanding twelvefold as it targets the intersection of digital and physical production.

Meshy Secures $400 Million to Scale AI-Powered 3D Generation

The Series B infusion positions Meshy to accelerate research and global expansion, building on a user base that has already generated over 100 million models. Unlike competitors focused primarily on visual aesthetics, the company has prioritized production-ready output, enabling seamless integration into game engines like Unity and Unreal, as well as physical 3D printing workflows. Five of the world's ten largest technology companies now utilize its infrastructure, alongside partners ranging from game developers like Nexon to hardware manufacturers such as Bambu Lab.

Technological milestones driving this growth include the new Meshy 3D Agent, which automates complex design tasks, and an Auto Split feature designed to solve the common issue of preparing digital models for physical printing. By offering native geometry control through its Smart Topology model and high-fidelity 8K texturing, the company is bridging the gap between casual creation and professional-grade industrial output. Founded by MIT PhD Ethan Hu, Meshy aims to lower the technical barriers to 3D design, effectively turning abstract prompts into tangible, printable objects with minimal friction.
