The installation, scheduled for 2027, will utilize Delectrik’s non-containerized architecture designed for large-scale industrial and utility applications. This project follows the company's successful 3 MWH pilot at Greater Noida in 2025. By siting the system at Khavda—a facility projected to reach 30 GW of capacity by 2029—the initiative aims to prove the viability of long-duration storage in integrating renewable energy into the national power network.
Delectrik Systems to Build India's First 100 MWH Flow Battery Plant
A 100 MWH Vanadium Redox Flow Battery project is set to rise at the Khavda Solar Park, marking India’s first utility-scale deployment of non-lithium storage technology. Delectrik Systems secured the tender alongside Bondada Engineering Limited, commissioned by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited to bolster the national grid's storage capacity.

Dr. Vishal Mittal, CEO of Delectrik, emphasized that the project is entirely designed and manufactured domestically. Looking beyond this milestone, the company plans to expand its reach across Australia, Africa, and the ASEAN region, targeting a GWH-scale order book within the next year. To support this growth, Delectrik has established two subsidiaries: one focused on upstream Vanadium Oxide production and another dedicated to offering Energy Storage as a Service to data centers and industrial clients.
