Alfa Laval Reports 35 Percent Surge in Quarterly Order Intake

Alfa Laval AB reported a robust second quarter for 2026, with order intake climbing to SEK 22.2 billion—a 35 percent increase compared to the same period last year. This surge, driven by a 29 percent organic growth, reflects a strong demand cycle, even as the company anticipates a slight moderation in the upcoming quarter.

Net sales for the Lund-based industrial group reached SEK 18.1 billion, marking an 8 percent rise over the previous year's figures. Despite the strong top-line performance, the adjusted EBITA grew more modestly by 2 percent to SEK 3.1 billion. This resulted in an adjusted EBITA margin of 17.0 percent, down from 17.8 percent in the second quarter of 2025.

Financial results remained steady, with earnings per share landing at SEK 4.91, slightly ahead of the SEK 4.87 recorded last year. Operating cash flow also showed improvement, rising to SEK 2.4 billion from SEK 2.2 billion. Looking ahead, the company signaled a cooling period, projecting that demand in the third quarter will likely track lower than the levels seen in the second quarter.
