The Tampa-based packaging giant saw net income climb to $245 million for the quarter ending June 30, up from $181 million in the same period last year. Adjusted diluted earnings per share reached $2.49, a 16% increase over the $2.15 reported in 2025. CEO Timothy J. Donahue noted that the surge in demand for aluminum cans, viewed by consumers as a sustainable packaging choice, successfully offset softer market conditions in Latin America.
Crown Holdings Raises 2026 Profit Outlook on Strong Can Demand
Crown Holdings, Inc. reported a sharp rise in second-quarter earnings, citing a 5% increase in global beverage can volumes and robust performance across its equipment and tinplate businesses. Driven by growth in Asia, Europe, and North America, the company has raised its full-year adjusted earnings guidance to between $8.30 and $8.50 per share.

To keep pace with rising consumption, Crown is advancing capacity expansion projects in Brazil, Greece, and Spain. The company is also constructing a facility in Northern India to secure a foothold in one of the world's fastest-growing markets. Reflecting confidence in its cash flow, the firm repurchased $305 million in stock during the quarter, bringing total buybacks to more than $500 million for the first half of 2026. The company maintains a net leverage ratio of 2.5x adjusted EBITDA, providing the financial flexibility to balance ongoing capital investments with shareholder returns.
