Patel spent his early years at the company immersing himself in core operations, a hands-on strategy that informed his vision for a fully integrated manufacturing model. By controlling the entire production value chain, the firm has minimized its reliance on external sourcing, achieving a level of integration at its Vadodara facility that remains unmatched by domestic competitors. This operational control has allowed the company to navigate global supply chain disruptions with greater stability than its peers.
Diversification has been central to Patel’s tenure, as he moved the company away from its historical reliance on the cyclical textile industry, which previously accounted for up to 80 percent of revenue. The portfolio now spans pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and water treatment, anchored by a new 80-hectare site in the Bharuch manufacturing hub. Patel maintains that this site provides the necessary infrastructure for the company’s next decade of scaling.
