DaBella Upgrades Knights Landing Station 9 with Energy-Efficient Windows

The Knights Landing Fire Department, an all-volunteer crew operating on a razor-thin budget, has received a full window replacement for its Station 9. Through the Operation Hero Tribute program, home services company DaBella and partner Alside installed high-efficiency Glasswing windows at no cost to the local responders.

Volunteer fire stations often face a persistent tension between maintaining essential safety equipment and funding basic facility repairs. At Station 9, aging windows had become a significant drain on resources, allowing climate control to escape and inflating energy bills that could otherwise support training and emergency operations. By replacing these outdated fixtures, DaBella aims to redirect those savings back into the department’s primary mission of community protection.

The initiative is part of DaBella’s ongoing Operation Hero Tribute, a program designed to support first responders through home improvement projects. For the crew involved, the installation carried a personal weight, as several team members have family backgrounds in emergency services. Luke Sorensen, Director of Community Engagement at DaBella, described the project as a direct reflection of the company’s internal motto to lead, care, and grow, emphasizing that the collaboration with Alside allowed them to provide a functional upgrade that the station could not have independently afforded.
