Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America is streamlining high-end print production by bundling its BP-1200S six-color press with Duplo’s digital embellishment hardware. This alliance allows print shops to acquire unified finishing systems directly through Sharp authorized dealers, moving beyond traditional CMYK output toward premium tactile applications.
Dino Pagliarello, Vice President of Product Management at Sharp, noted that the initiative is designed to expand the creative potential of the BP-1200S platform. By aligning with Duplo, Sharp provides its clients with a direct path to implement complex, on-demand finishing without managing fragmented supply chains. This shift targets print service providers looking to differentiate their offerings in a competitive market by delivering visually striking, high-value materials that command premium pricing.
