Nutrafol Study Links Nutraceutical Use to Faster Hair Growth

A new six-month clinical study published in Dermatology and Therapy reports that women using Nutrafol supplements experienced hair growth rates 19% to 37% faster than baseline. The research highlights linear hair growth rate as a primary metric, a complex clinical endpoint rarely prioritized in hair health studies.

The findings, unveiled at the 2026 World Congress for Hair Research in Seoul, followed 180 women aged 18 to 70. Researchers utilized Canfield HairMetrix imaging technology to track progress at 90 and 180-day intervals. Beyond the increased speed of growth, the data confirmed significant improvements in total hair count and scalp coverage across various life stages, including postpartum and menopause.

Dr. Raja Sivamani, the study’s principal investigator, noted that measuring linear growth is technically demanding, requiring specific validated equipment often absent in standard hair research. He suggested these results could shift how the industry assesses hair thinning. Nutrafol, which has now conducted 26 clinical studies, continues to position its evidence-based approach as a differentiator in the supplement market, having previously secured NSF Certified for Sport status.
