Geely Cyan Racing Dominates European Leg of 2026 TCR World Tour

A dominant performance in the narrow, winding streets of Vila Real, Portugal, secured Geely Cyan Racing its fifth victory of the 2026 Kumho FIA TCR World Tour. French driver Yann Ehrlacher claimed the win in Race 1, propelling the team to a commanding 56-point lead in the overall standings.

The European tour spanned four diverse circuits—Misano, Ricardo Tormo, Paul Ricard, and Vila Real—testing the Geely Preface TCR across varied technical layouts. The car’s self-developed chassis and powertrain proved instrumental in navigating both high-speed straights and tight corners. Santiago Urrutia currently leads the Drivers' Championship, with teammates Yann Ehrlacher, Thed Björk, and Ma Qinghua positioned fourth, sixth, and seventh respectively.

Beyond the track, the racing success mirrors Geely's broader commercial expansion. The manufacturer reported global sales of 1,100,373 units in the first half of 2026, supported by a rapid entry into seven European markets including Germany and France. The team now shifts focus to the Asian leg of the tour, with upcoming races in Chengdu and Zhuzhou this October, before the season concludes in Macau.
