With over 150 million daily active users, Roblox has become the latest arena for Casio’s VIRTUAL G-SHOCK project. Starting July 15, the watchmaker will integrate its iconic timepiece designs and a custom skateboarding obstacle course into the platform, aiming to capture the attention of a younger, digital-native demographic.
Drawing inspiration from the brand’s rigorous physical durability testing, the new virtual world centers on a skateboarding obstacle race. This environment reflects street culture motifs, tasking players with navigating complex course layouts to reach the finish line. The launch coincides with a special event running from July 15 through August 2, marking a strategic effort by the Tokyo-based company to bridge the gap between traditional horology and immersive gaming environments.
