Jordan Williams Extends Win Streak at UCI Downhill World Cup in Andorra

Jordan Williams claimed his second consecutive Elite Men's Downhill victory at Pal Arinsal, navigating the grueling Andorran course to finish over two seconds ahead of the field. The 21-year-old Briton’s dominant performance marks his third career World Cup win, effectively reshaping the leaderboard as the 2026 series reaches its midway point.

The high-speed, eroded terrain of Pal Arinsal demanded absolute precision throughout the weekend. Williams stopped the clock at 2:41.666, capitalizing on a aggressive lower-section strategy that left his nearest competitor trailing by 2.331 seconds. The win follows his recent success in La Thuile, Italy, cementing his position as the current series leader.

Ryan Pinkerton secured a breakthrough third-place finish with a time of 2:44.166, marking the 22-year-old Californian’s first Elite podium. The result proved bittersweet for the Monster Energy camp, however, as previous standings leader Amaury Pierron suffered a heavy crash. The incident relegated Pierron to 27th place in Andorra and dropped him to fourth in the overall series rankings. With the circuit now shifting to Haute-Savoie, France, for the August 20–23 round, the competition for the overall title remains wide open.
