Mars Impact Fund Pledges $1M for Venezuela Earthquake Relief

The Mars Impact Fund is injecting $1 million into World Central Kitchen to sustain emergency food relief across Venezuela following a series of catastrophic earthquakes. This capital infusion arrives as the organization continues to mobilize local restaurant networks to provide fresh, nourishing meals to thousands of displaced families and first responders.

The funding supports a relief operation that has already delivered nearly 500,000 meals across the states of Miranda, La Guaira, and Carabobo. Since the disaster struck, World Central Kitchen has collaborated with over 50 local partners to reach communities in the most heavily damaged regions. This grant builds on a partnership established in 2022, aimed at scaling rapid response logistics during humanitarian crises.

Beyond direct financial aid, Mars businesses have contributed more than 5 tons of cereal, snacks, and pet food to local food banks. The Royal Canin Foundation is simultaneously funding the deployment of international canine search-and-rescue teams from Argentina and Mexico. These efforts are bolstered by the Los Angeles Task Force 2 Urban Search and Rescue team, which received sponsorship from VCA Charities and Royal Canin U.S. to assist with ongoing recovery operations on the ground.
