FL Studio 2026 upgrades Gopher AI to handle engineering tasks

The updated Gopher handles functional requests like laying down four-on-the-floor kicks or applying gated reverb for specific stylistic results. While the assistant streamlines workflow, it remains restricted in scope: it cannot draw automation, input melodic chords, or navigate deep into third-party plug-in presets. When tasked with loading instruments, the AI defaults to the revamped Flex, leaving the final sound selection to the producer. Image Line maintains that user sessions remain private, with no data training occurring on personal projects.

Beyond the AI integration, the release features a rebuilt Flex virtual instrument. The engine now operates with lower resource demands, complemented by a refined preset browser featuring granular genre filtering. For subscribers of the FL Cloud service, Image Line has introduced automatic project backups. Additionally, a new audio logger captures the last 60 seconds of master output, providing a safety net for spontaneous ideas that would otherwise be lost if a user forgets to initiate recording. As with previous iterations, this update is provided at no extra cost to existing users.
