Spinogenix Adds Alzheimer’s Authority Steven E. Arnold to Advisory Board
Spinogenix has appointed Harvard Medical School professor Steven E. Arnold to its scientific advisory board, signaling a strategic shift toward biomarker-driven clinical development. As the company prepares for late-stage trials of its synaptic regenerative therapy, Arnold’s expertise in translational neurology will guide the advancement of the drug candidate tazbentetol.

CEO Stella Sarraf noted that Arnold’s integration of biomarker strategies is essential for the company's upcoming registration-directed studies. Spinogenix is currently developing tazbentetol, a first-in-class therapeutic designed to restore synapses in patients with Alzheimer’s, ALS, and schizophrenia. By leveraging EEG data from Phase 2a studies, the board intends to refine how the company measures synaptic regeneration, potentially setting a new standard for neurodegenerative treatment protocols.
