Unitek College Rebrands as Unitek College of Nursing

After two decades of training medical staff, Unitek College is rebranding to Unitek College of Nursing. The change signals a strategic pivot to address the persistent national shortage of healthcare workers by sharpening the institution’s identity and aligning its public presence with its core mission in clinical education.

The transition arrives as healthcare facilities across the country struggle with vacancy rates for nursing and allied health roles. According to Jeff Conlon, CEO of Unitek Learning, the new name reflects both the institution’s current academic focus and its long-term objective to bolster the national medical workforce. Despite the change in branding, the college confirmed that all existing academic programs, campus locations, and accreditation statuses remain unaffected. Students will continue to follow their established curricula, maintaining access to the same faculty and clinical training partnerships that defined the school’s operations under its previous identity. Unitek Learning, the parent organization, intends to use this shift to further integrate its workforce development initiatives with hospitals and health systems, aiming to create more sustainable talent pipelines for a sector facing significant labor pressures.
