Ivy Rehab Expands Role at Philadelphia’s Broad Street Run

Thousands of runners flooded Philadelphia for the Independence Blue Cross Broad Street Run this May, marking a milestone for Ivy Rehab Physical Therapy. Serving as an Official Expo Partner for the first time, the organization integrated itself into the city’s signature 10-mile race to promote recovery and community health.

Beyond their role at the Health and Wellness Expo, Ivy clinicians provided recovery resources and encouragement to participants throughout the training season. Sixty team members from local clinics joined the race, representing the network among the thousands who crossed the finish line at the Navy Yard.

The organization’s involvement extended to Students Run Philly Style, a nonprofit focused on youth mentorship through athletics. By donating race entries, Ivy supported the program’s 1,100 participants, who use the event to develop goal-setting skills and personal confidence. Danny Burke, director of development at the nonprofit, noted that this mentorship fosters a belief in personal accomplishment that carries far beyond the course. Pat Watson, Vice President of Operations for the Mid-Atlantic region, emphasized that the partnership reflects the company's broader mission to prove that consistent movement serves as a bridge for building stronger local connections.
