The partnership creates a cohesive pipeline for organizations moving to Amazon Web Services. While AWS Transform utilizes artificial intelligence to handle discovery, dependency mapping, and modernization strategy, RiverMeadow acts as the execution layer. This approach shifts the modernization process to occur during the migration itself, rather than as a costly, time-consuming remediation project after the workload has already landed in the cloud.
RiverMeadow Integrates With AWS Transform to Automate Modernization
Many enterprises migrating to the cloud fall into the trap of simple 'lift and shift' maneuvers that export technical debt rather than resolving it. Los Gatos-based RiverMeadow Software aims to break this cycle by pairing its automated migration engine with AWS Transform’s AI-driven planning capabilities.

CEO Jim Jordan notes that the integration allows businesses to automate the actual transition of workloads based on the AI’s roadmap. The methodology covers critical infrastructure updates, including Windows Server and Linux OS upgrades, Microsoft SQL Server modernization, and compute rightsizing. By automating security hardening and workload mobility, the company claims it can deliver production-ready environments with near-zero downtime. To incentivize adoption, the initiative includes access to AWS-funded migration assessments and licensing programs, allowing firms to preserve their AWS Migration Acceleration Program (MAP) funding for further modernization efforts.
