Databarracks snaps up Acumen to bolster resilience consulting
London-based Databarracks has acquired the assets of Acumen Business Services, marking its second major expansion in the sector following the 2024 purchase of PlanB Consulting. The move integrates Acumen’s two decades of crisis management and continuity expertise into Databarracks’ growing portfolio of managed resilience services.

Chris Butler, Resilience Director at Databarracks, emphasized that the integration aligns with a shared vision of making resilience practical and scalable. Andy Osborne noted that the merger allows the consultancy to leverage Databarracks' robust technical recovery infrastructure. Databarracks Chairman Mike Osborne confirmed the company is currently scaling its workforce to meet rising demand, citing the rapid evolution of global risk landscapes as the primary driver for their aggressive acquisition strategy.
