The agreement, effective immediately, integrates Arima’s industry-standard Hi-C sequencing technology into Active Motif’s broader suite of epigenetics and chromatin profiling services. For researchers, the transition aims to simplify workflows by combining traditional sequence-based analysis with structural mapping of the genome, a necessity for studying complex disease mechanisms in fields like oncology and neuroscience.

Joe Fernandez, Chairman and Founder of Active Motif, noted that the addition fills a critical gap in their service offerings, allowing the company to provide end-to-end solutions for gene regulation research. Meanwhile, Arima Genomics CEO Tom Willis emphasized that the partnership leverages Active Motif’s established global commercial infrastructure, freeing his team to focus on the Aventa platform, which utilizes DNA structure to identify cancer-driving mutations from routine tumor samples.
