David Kensick Joins Air as COO to Drive National Security Scaling
After securing unicorn status and climbing to 18th on the 2026 NatSec100 list, the Arlington-based firm Air has tapped David Kensick as its new Chief Operating Officer. Kensick, a former F-16 pilot and ID.me executive, takes the helm to refine the company’s internal infrastructure during a period of rapid federal expansion.

Air, formerly known as Govini, currently maintains a broad footprint across the federal government and all military branches. The company’s primary objective is to close the gap between front-line requirements and national security delivery through its AI-native Enterprise Readiness platform. With Kensick now overseeing global business operations, the organization aims to sustain its 100% year-over-year growth while accelerating the deployment of data-driven tools for the warfighter.
