ACG Secures Efficiency Gains at Gediktepe Mine with Proprietary Tech

A 10 percent jump in commercial gold recovery has been achieved at the Gediktepe mine in Türkiye, thanks to a new metallurgical process developed internally by ACG. The company, which has secured patent protection for the method, reports that the breakthrough also slashes cyanide consumption by nearly half.

The improvements, verified through commercial operations between April 2025 and June 2026, demonstrate a significant leap in heap leach performance. Beyond the 85 percent recovery rate—up from 75 percent—the process delivers faster kinetics and lower reagent use, directly boosting margins for the site's oxide ore production.

Artem Volynets, Chairman and CEO of ACG, noted that disciplined process control remains a cornerstone of the company’s strategy as it prepares for a transition toward sulphide processing and copper production. With the Turkish patent already granted and applications pending in 35 other jurisdictions, ACG intends to deploy this optimization approach across its broader transitional and sulphide ore portfolios to sustain cash flow.
